Wells Fargo Day

For the last couple of years, Wells Fargo has donated $600,000 to three programs at Clemson, with the Emerging Scholars and Call Me Mister programs being proud recipients. Today we had Wells Fargo Day where members from the Wells Fargo community came and had brunch with a few students, misters, and staff associated with the programs. Wells Fargo learned how their contributions have allowed both programs to grow and be successful. The students that attended really enjoyed themselves. They made great connections and spoke on behalf of the program well. The event was a success and hopefully Wells Fargo continues to give so generously in the future.

About Us

Since 2002, The Emerging Scholars Program has made higher education a reality for students who have not seen college in their future. The mission of the Emerging Scholars Program at Clemson University is to establish a college-going culture among students in families from the state’s economically disadvantaged areas through academic enrichment, developing leadership skills and increasing college preparedness. Students are taught that knowing the basics in reading, writing and math are the most important factors in high school and college completion. These skills are emphasized throughout their participation in the program, along with more information on the basics of applying to any college or university.
